9-11 Years Dance Classes
Your pre-teen dancer is guided, nurtured and encouraged during this pivotal stage of their development. Our tailored 9-11 years program empowers your dancer to uncover their unique strengths, passions, and aspirations, through our ballet, contemporary dance, lyrical, jazz and extension programs. Eager and ready to take on challenges, our specialist teachers work with your dancer to safely build strength, nurture knowledge and inspire creativity.
Foster a love of dance
Training with the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and the Royal Ballet School Affiliate and Assessment Training Programme. We are the only school in WA to offer this.
Opportunity to perform solos and be accepted into the Accelerate Training Program.
Involved in the end-of-year performance and mid-year showcase.
Each class has a capped amount of students to ensure every dancer is seen.
Bespoke termly certificates and progress reports that celebrate your dancer's holistic growth.

Ballet: Foundation Class
Our Foundation Ballet Classes follow the Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme (ATAP); an innovative programme that gives young dance students a high-quality, holistic learning experience. Ignite is the only school in Western Australia, and one of the few schools in Australia, to offer this program.

Ballet: Exam Class
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exam classes are an optional addition for the dancers who wish to extend themselves. Students at this age train in RAD grades 3 and 4. The ATAP training expertly prepares students for their RAD syllabus and exam work.

Contemporary
Our 9-11 years contemporary classes focus on technique, creativity and performance. Following the Rambert Grades syllabus, students are working towards Grades 2 and/or 3.

Our jazz and lyrical class is powerful and enjoyable and encourages creative and artistic exploration.

A training program for aspiring dancers
Ignite's Accelerate Training Program offers aspiring dancers the opportunity to advance their technical, artistic and creative skills. It is a holistic program designed to empower students who aspire to further their dance training while concurrently pursuing their academic studies.

Our 9-11 year dancers are placed in Level 3 of this program where the focus is on building foundational skills.

Ballet and contemporary programs are available.
