12+ Years Dance Classes
In our secondary school program, we offer three progressive levels: 4, 5, and 6. Whether your dancer is just starting out or aspiring to become a professional, our ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, lyrical and extension programs are tailored to help them carve out their own path in the world of dance. With experienced teachers who understand the teenage journey, your dancer will be part of a community where kindness and acceptance are at the forefront, ensuring they feel right at home as they pursue their passion for dance.
Foster a love of dance
Training with the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus and the Royal Ballet School Affiliate and Assessment Training Program. We are the only school in WA to offer this.
Opportunity to perform solos and be accepted into the Accelerate Training Program.
Involved in the end-of-year performance and mid-year showcase.

Our ballet classes follow the Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training and Assessment Programme (ATAP); an innovative programme that gives young dance students a high-quality, holistic learning experience. Ignite is the only school in Western Australia, and one of the few schools in Australia, to offer this program.

Ballet: Exam Class
The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) exam classes are an optional addition for the dancers who wish to extend themselves. At this age, students training in the RAD vocational levels. The ATAP training expertly prepares students for their RAD syllabus and exam work.

Contemporary
Our contemporary classes focus on technique, creativity and performance. Following the Rambert Grades syllabus, students are working on Grades 4 - 8.

Our jazz and lyrical class is powerful and enjoyable and encourages creative and artistic exploration.

A training program for aspiring dancers
Ignite's Accelerate Training Program offers aspiring dancers the opportunity to advance their technical, artistic and creative skills in ballet and contemporary. It is a holistic program designed to empower students who aspire to further their dance training while concurrently pursuing their academic studies.

There are 3 levels of this program on offer to secondary school students; levels 4, 5 and 6.
Level 4: Dedicated honing technical, performance and creative abilities.
Level 5: Expanding dance and industry knowledge.
Level 6: Advance prospective dance careers.

Specialist program for teens new to ballet
Our Teen Ballet class is a supportive, fun and safe environment for your teenager to either start their ballet journey or get back into the studio after a couple of years off!

Your dancer will learn the fundamentals of ballet with a group of like-minded individuals. With understanding and knowledgeable staff members, your dancer will advance their skills and embrace challenges at their own pace.
​
As part of an inclusive and supportive team environment, these dancers will work toward the mid-year showcase and end-of-year performance.
